Home Health Aide
Our Home Health Aides (HHAs) are highly valued members of our team and play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients. Job Description:
As a compassionate Home Health Aide, you will assist clients with daily living activities, helping them maintain their independence and dignity. You will work closely with clients in their homes, providing essential support and companionship.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide mobility support, including transferring clients safely from beds to wheelchairs and assisting with walking.
- Offer medication reminders to ensure clients adhere to prescribed routines.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients’ dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation, games, and other engaging activities.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other outings as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Home Health Aide, caregiver, or in a similar role
- Knowledge of basic nutrition, personal hygiene standards, and general caregiving best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
